1st visit

We’re excited for you to join the Parkville Pediatric Dentistry family! We make listening to, and addressing, all your dental concerns our top priority. At this visit, you will learn how to best care for your or your child’s oral health, including the growth and development process and frequency of visits.  We recommend your child see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, or no later than his/her first birthday.

This is what you can expect at your first visit:

• Review of medical and dental history

• Evaluate oral hygiene

• Obtain appropriate dental radiographs

• Dental cleaning to remove plaque, tarter, and polish your teeth

• Examination of the mouth and oral structures

• Explain age-appropriate oral hygiene techniques

• Recommend a preventive protocol based on your/your child’s risk of developing cavities

• Answer questions and address specific concerns
